Vouloir
Vouloir has two meanings
Vouloir = to want
Vouloir dire = to mean
Let’s start with a few expressions :
Je veux manger vite ! = I want to eat fast
Est-ce que tu veux prendre un café ? = Do you want to have coffee?
Qu’est-ce qu’il veut dire ? = What does he mean?
Elle veut une chambre simple = She wants a single room.
Nous voulons deux plats du jour = We want two daily specials.
Vous voulez dire quoi ? = What do you mean?
Elles veulent faire du tennis = They want to play tennis
Expression to know absolutely
To accept something, instead of saying yes, you can also say ‘Oui, Je veux bien = yes, gladly.
Vouloir au présent
Vouloir est une verbe irrégulier
je veux
tu veux
il/elle veut
nous voulons
vous voulez
ils/elles veulent.
