The French either use ‘La météo’ ou ‘Le temps’ when talking about the weather.
Just like English, talking about the weather is impersonal. When referring to the weather, the French use .’ il ‘

Il fait + adjective
Il fait beau = It’s sunny
Il fait bon = It’s pleasant / it’s mild
Il fait chaud = it’s hot
Il fait lourd = it’s muggy
Il fait frais = it’s chilly
Il fait froid = it’s cold
Il fait mauvais = it’s bad
Il fait nuageux = it’s cloudy
Il fait orageux = it’s stormy
#2 Talking about the weather when raining or snowing
Il pleut = it’s raining
Il neige = it’s snowing
